Burt Boyce is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, healthcare leader, and United States Marine Corps veteran with more than 14 years of nursing experience.

Burt brings a broad clinical perspective to patient care with experiences including extensive work with older adults, dementia-related behavioral disturbances, and medically complex patients.

“Mental health is a team sport” is a philosophy that guides Burt’s approach to care. He believes effective psychiatric treatment is built on trust, respect, collaboration, and evidence-based practice.

According to Burt: “The best outcomes occur when I work closely with patients, families, therapists, nursing staff, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans that improve functioning, quality of life, and long-term outcomes. Working together toward shared goals is key”.

Burt treats a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, psychotic disorders, trauma-related disorders, and neurocognitive disorders. He provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management.

His military service fostered strong skills in leadership, critical thinking, information analysis, and decision-making, which continue to influence his approach to patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Burt concludes: “As a Marine Corps veteran, I value the opportunity to care for fellow veterans and understands many of the challenges they may face. It’s ok. You’re not alone. We’re here”.
