How it Works

A parent or legal guardian must provide consent for treatment. Referrals welcomed from schools, pediatricians, and community providers. Children under 5 may be referred to specialized early childhood providers.

We employ evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment and offer immediate safety and crisis assessment when needed. We also help students needing coordination of care between school, family, and providers.

What to Expect

Going to a counseling session for the first time may be unsettling to patients and their loved ones. We’d like to dispel those fears by explaining how our dedicated  teams work together to meet patients’ need with a combination of therapy, health services, and medication if needed.

Below is an overview of how we help individuals manage their symptoms and live a full and productive life.

Comprehensive Health and Psychiatric Evaluation

Each patient’s visit begins with an evaluation of his or her medical history and circumstances. This helps us quickly understand the individual’s situation and develop a treatment plan that can be implemented right away.

Medication Management

Since drug side effects can trigger psychiatric episodes, we assess each patient’s prescription regimen. We look for potential medication interactions and whether there have been issues in complying with doctor’s orders.

Nutrition Assessment

Psychiatric episodes can be triggered by nutritional problems such as vitamin and mineral deficiencies. We therefore screen for dietary habits that may be having a negative impact on mood or behavior.

Educational Support

Our mental health experts can provide educational support to help patients and their families prevent future psychiatric episodes. Assistance available includes stress management, coping skills, medication usage and health and wellness.
